Channel Guy: Stock Market Technical Analysis for ending day 07/29/09
Because the bonds are selling off and the stock market is not selling off as hard, it looks to me as if people rather put their money in stocks rather than bonds. When bonds are selling off yields go up, bond prices come down, dollar goes up do to the yields going up, and stocks rise because they are trying to price inflation in stocks. That what I believe is going on. The dollar is just getting a bounce off the double bottom and we all know it is doomed for doom. Now some of the commodities are still holding up well to the bounce in the dollar. For example, coal stocks are selling off and closing in mid range or back near their highs. That is real bullish my friends so that’s why I think this dollar bounce is short lived and I show that in the video. Now the SPX I believe broke out of the little flag it was forming on the 15min chart( I show in the video). So it’s a tough choppy market up here and we have to trade it safely. I go over some trades I was looking at today and hoped you guys profited from the trade discussed in the video DUG.

I pointed out on a question that fiat currency doesn’t work and got three thumbs down?
Please give me some examples of fiat standard currencies that have lasted longer than a human life span.

The Zeitgeist- we were on a fixed exchange gold standard until 1971
future, I’m not talking about value in relation to other currencies. I’m talking about what the dollar is worth, as far as cents on the dollar. Purchasing power.
You won’t receive an example because there are not any. The modern US dollar has only been in existence since 1971 when the Bretton Woods system was abandoned. The current dollar is in its agonal death throes now.
Mr Grant has pointed this out in a very nice article:

Which is better, Liberty or socialism, free market or central planning, gold standard or fiat currency?
Which of these can we expect from an Obama administration?
What did George Washington give us in the Constitution?
Hey, Nick. Jefferson made no contributions to the Constitution.
Yup, Tony, it’s true Jefferson made zero contributions to the Constitution. He was out of the country at the time it was framed.
As a matter of fact, that’s why he mischaracterized the first amendment, he only had a verbal summation of what it was about, and he paraphrased it in his now famous, but incorrect lettter.
Socialism, he will try, it will flounder….we don’t have the economic resources to support national health care or distribution of wealth…not to mention there would be rioting in the streets before you part hard working americans will their cash!!
