There are softwares like Falcon, Iris, Metastock which are quite expensive unless you are prepare for it. They provide whole lot of information realtime, besides there is a site icharts.in which provides charts realtime for different time frames but they also charge for the services. so thats that. all da best.

I was gifted the options software for Wizetrade. With limited capital ($1000-$2000) is this a good idea to pay for the service and try and use this as an investment tool?

not a good idea.. you want to invest money in something you understand.. if dont think its a good idea then its not a good idea.. you could make money.. but its not worth it to lose your money especially if you dont understand it.

Anywhere from a few dollars to several million dollars. It all depends on what you want to accomplish. You can develop a simple program that tells you when to buy or sell based on a simple model. The simple model may not be very profitable because the market is a very complex mechanism.

People have developed very complicated models that take into account hundreds of variables. Even these models don’t always work well.

So it is impossible to answer your question. No one knows what market information you have to work with, how you will obtain the data, and many other factors.

If anyone here use this "forex tracer" system and please tell me your good and bad experience related to it.

Here’s the truth: If you want to become a successful forex trader, you must…

1) Always stay humble – Realize that at any given moment, you have the capacity to do serious and permanent damage to your forex account. In the blink of an eye, you can and will have your account wiped out if you are an undisciplined trader.

2) Limit your risk – Proper money management is the key to the long term survival of your account. Only risk a tiny percent of your account on any given trade( I usually risk 1-2% on any one trade). I recommend stop losses at all times.

3) Never be greedy – Always take small gains and small losses. With discipline and training, you can easily learn to be profitable with a 50/50, or even lower, win/ loss ratio.

4) Invest in your forex education – Learn to be a good technical trader. Study pivot points, support, resistance, and trend lines. Through my own forex training, I’ve learned that all of the "get rich quick" systems and strategies will work one day, and not the next. Some are designed for trending markets while others work when the currencies are trading in a range. I’ve seen many accounts blown up from using a system that was touted as the ‘latest and greatest’.

There are quite a few forex training courses on the market. I’ve studied and reviewed many of them. As a matter of fact, I just finished studying a course called "Forex Commander" , which cost me $2000. There was a lot of great information in that course, but I still felt $2,000 was a little pricey.

I’ve reviewed a couple of my favorite forex training courses at my site listed below. I also talk about how I lost $10,000 one time in less than 24 hours. It was a learning experience for sure.

on line trading – this has edge over other investor who trade through brokers.
reduction in transaction/incidental/overhead expenditure.
money saved is money earned.
for analysis, you are equipped with all data.

for doing all and to get advantage, you should be expert in handling otherwise, reverse is the case.

I want to find software that filters for me what stocks have the biggest price change in the after hours stock market (pre and after markets). For example, a 40% increase or 50% increase or 20% drop or 15% drop. A plus will be a software that also includes the pink sheet market.

Not sure what you are asking because bid/ask are going to be whatever they happen to be at any moment, if you have any real time data.

Some may show you other nearest quotes waiting in the wings to either side of bid/ask, like thinkDesktop from thinkorswim.com. You can try their platform with PaperMoney, but quotes/charts are delayed until you fund an account (at which time it becomes real time).

I’m a starter(actually haven’t even started yet) and I just want to have a look on how those stocks are like on those stock exchanges. I tried and downloaded a few simulators but they didn’t work well. Are there any good, easy-to-use stock trading softwares out there? I need no analysis. I just want to look at the graph and the numbers. And I’m just starting, so of course being free is important…

any ideas?

Just use the yahoo finance page .
You can create hypothetical portfolios and track them there .

There is also an education section at the bottom of the investing tab .

Personally , I recommend you start with a pretend $10,000 budget ,
Buy that much ( total ) worth of several stocks ,
Then see how they are doing at the end of the summer .
